New Manuals on AirCorps Library for June 10
We have a small, but wonderful, treat for jet-age Lockheed fans this week. We added eight new documents covering the T-33 Shooting Star.
The T-33 primarily served to train pilots of jet engine aircraft, in fact is the only jet trainer used by the Air Force for nearly a decade. According to the National Museum of the United States Air Force the plane also saw limited use in reconnaissance and combat, primarily for other countries.
These eight new manuals were generously donated by Paul Lovrien, the grandfather of AirCorps' very own Patrick Lovrien.
Among the manuals are two new Flight Handbooks, including one from 1953, which is now the earliest version on AirCorps Library. Also in this collection are two new Flight Handbook Supplements and four Safety Supplements, all of which are available to subscribers for the first time.
