Another Day, Another Batch of Manuals!

As we wrap up the week, and the month of January, here at AirCorps Library, I've got a "trivia" question for you. How many manuals would you say are pictured in this image:

Would you believe that it's 393? Pretty crazy right?! As I've mentioned in previous weeks, these manuals were donated to us by the Fort Worth Aviation Museum, in you guessed it, Fort Worth. All together they donated 10 file drawers worth of manuals, and the ones in the picture above came out of a single drawer. So at the bare minimum, I'm betting that there are 4,000 manuals in this collection. If you've come across one of the other blog posts that I wrote in January, then you'll know that all of the manuals in this picture relate to aviation actuators and small electric motors. They all range in publication date from the 1950s through the 1960, and include a wide range of subcontract manufacturers.

I'll be really curious to get into another file drawer of manuals in this collection and see if the actuator and motor trend continues, or if we'll be moving on to another subject - we'll just have to wait and see! For now, enjoy the newest additions to AirCorps Library, linked below.
