Corsair, TBM, and R-2800 are just a few of the areas where we've added new manuals this week!
As we start off 2022, one of the goals is to up the number of manuals that are added each week. Many of you may have heard that I have an insanely huge backlog of digitized manuals just waiting to be added to the AirCorps Library site. Interested in the process of how manuals get added? The manuals this week, and in the coming weeks are part of the Frederick Kohler Collection. Frederick's mother Valerie Bonzer owned a warbird parts business, and was well known within the community. Her husband, and Frederick's step father, was acclaimed air racer E.D. Weiner. E.D was well know at the Reno Air Races and took home many trophies before his untimely passing in 1969. It is our goal to honor the Bonzer, Weiner, and Kohler names with this collection - enjoy!
F4U Corsair, and F2G Super Corsair
The Corsair is always a fan favorite, even outside of Navy enthusiasts - everyone loves those folding wings! In many cases Corsair manuals are hard to find, and really expensive, especially originals. However, in a not-so-recent donation, I got some really great manuals, and this week we got them uploaded and available on the site:

Grumman TBM Avenger
The TBM is another popular aircraft, maybe also because of the folding wings??? Who can tell. At AirCorps, we do the annual maintenance on the TBM operated by the Wings Of The North Museum in Minneapolis, so I was really excited when I unboxed these manuals for scanning, especially the Parts Catalogs:

Grumman F8F Bearcat
The number of "Cats" and "Birds" that Grumman produced is truly incredible. Especially considering that many other WWII manufacturers only manufactured one or two different models of aircraft. Thinking about the Hellcat, Bearcat, Wildcat, Albatross, Duck, Goose, and Avenger as a group is pretty impressive. We've got manuals for most, but not as many as I'd like, so it's always nice to boost the numbers with some nice originals like the ones we've added this week:
