WWII Era Training Manuals and Service Bulletins take center stage (again) this week!

We all know the old adage "when it rains, it pours", and that's definitely a good way to describe the documents that we've added to AirCorps Library in the past month - we've got service bulletins coming out of our ears! It's no wonder though, since manufactures put our reams of service bulletins on almost every topic imaginable. In addition to the latest slough of bulletins, this weeks additions include a selection of training manuals covering a variety of topics.

Instrument Training Manuals

As you can see, most of the manuals below were published by the Air Force and cover some pretty basic aspects of instrument flying.

Instrument Flying - AF Manual No. 51-37

Instrument Flying - AF Manual No. 51-45

Miscellaneous Training Manuals

Of these training manuals, the two titled "Aircraft Engineering for Pilots" are definitely a highlight. The title makes them seem a bit dull, but they cover every aspect of how an airplane functions. I've always wanted to read them cover to cover. If you had a photographic memory I feel like once you finished you'd be able to pass your A&P exam with flying colors - just using this manual alone! : )

Air Navigation - AF Manual No. 51-40, 1-June-1951

Air Navigation - AF Manual No. 51-40, Sept-1954

This weeks batch of Bendix Service Bulletins centers around carburetors, carburetors, and more carburetors, with w few exceptions.
