In the new batch of manuals this week comes an incredibly helpful group of materials. Service bulletins are a great resources for many projects, and that's just a portion of the 76 documents that were added to the AirCorps Library website this week!

Component Manuals

People can be confused by the term "components" and I often find myself explaining what it means. Components as categorized by the the military tech order system during WWII, cover a broad scope of topics. Components range from propellers, fuel pumps, electrical switches, and wheels, to fire extinguishers and oxygen regulators. While the list of newly added component manuals below relates almost exclusively to items found within an aircraft fuel system, the components umbrella as a whole covers many more topics.

Aeroproducts Service Bulletins

Many manufacturers published a series of service bulletins for their products. Service bulletins cover highly specific topics and are normally just a few pages long. Often, the information contained within service bulletins is hard (if not impossible) to find in other manuals - one of the many reasons whey they are so helpful!

Bendix Service Bulletins

Bendix seemed to have it's hands in almost everything during WWII - I think you would be hard pressed to find a warbird that did not have more than one Bendix component somewhere on the aircraft. Bendix was the parent company for other familiar names like Eclipse, Eclipse-Pioneer, and Stromberg (Bendix-Stromberg).
