P-51, T-6, Hamilton Standard, Curtiss Wright, and Franklin Engine manuals added to AirCorps Library this week!

But before we get into all that, I'd like to share a neat user story. Some of you may have heard me mention the B-25 History Project, and the great work that they do. If not, now is your chance to take a look at their website and get acquainted! This group has compiled what can only be described as a staggering amount of historical information related to the B-25, and it's history in Kansas City. In addition, there are several small scale restoration projects going on in their shop at any given time, including an 8 gun nose, instrument panel, and several working radio sets!

The images below are a before and after of one of the latest parts that they've been using AirCorps Library drawings to fabricate, the B-25 auxiliary landing gear trunnion fitting assembly, part number 62-34106.

It's always fun to see the site in use this way, and to help such a great organization!

Wright Aeronautical Engine Specifications (A Division of Curtiss-Wright):

Curtiss really did "do it all" during the war - it's not many companies that say that they produced both aircraft and engines for the war effort. The company history goes back to 1929, and they are still in business today! The engine specifications added this week relate to what would now be considered Curtiss-Wright "legacy" items, but they're still cool for us!
